My Creative Soul

I'm a late-in-life painter though I've always enjoyed creative pursuits. I owe Covid for my foray into painting. I could only bake so much bread.

I also owe many thanks to the wonderful people in my life who've provided encouragement and support along the way, not just as it relates to my painting but throughout my life's adventures.

For me, there's something achingly satisfying about painting, though it can be frustrating sometimes too. The ongoing challenge is to get what I see in my head to come out at the end of my brush.

I'm inspired by a beautiful view and nature in all its forms. Living in Canada means there is never any shortage of inspiration.

When I'm not painting I'm in my gardens, trying a new recipe, renovating something or exploring the world around me, on foot or on two wheels.

I know I'll run out of time before I run out of images I want to capture on canvas, but hopefully not anytime soon.
